International Scientific Conference of Educational Projects for Seniors -
University of Third Age (U3A) Meeting
16th-17th February 2017, Oporto, Portugal
RUTIS (Association of Third Age Universities Network), in cooperation with its national and international partners, is organizing an International Scientific Conference of Educational Projects for Seniors and Third Age Universities.
Organization: RUTIS is the representative institution of the Portuguese senior universities recognized by the Portuguese Government by the Council of Ministers Resolution of 20 October 2016, established in 2005, today with 300 members, 42.000 seniores students and 5.000 volunteer teachers, with the consortium Porto 4 Ageing and the European Project Tempus Centre for the Third Age Education.
Objectives:
- Dissiminate educational projects for seniors that are developed in the world
- Promote lifelong learning in particular for seniors
- Create a World Network of Educational Projects for Seniors and Third Age Universities
Programme:
On the 16th we will have speakers and free presentations
On the 17th in the morning we will start the process of the creation of the Network and in the afternoon we will visit the city of Porto.
Communications:
The conference will be in Portuguese and English.
We also speak French and Spanish, if help is needed.
Registration:
The value of the registration is 75 euros and it inclueds the participation in the event, coffee-break, documents, two lunches and visit to the city of Porto.
Social dinner of the 16th of February is 25 euros, with visit to the interactive museum World of Discoveries.
Value for a companion: 50 euros (Does not receive certificate and documentation)
